That’s absolutely lovely Ian, it’s always fascinating to see someone use a poem you’ve written.
I aways think white space is in itself a comma, but for grammatical purposes the line walks but doesn’t run.
If I’m creating a break midline, then I use something more robust.
Mostly because, someone, a very dear poet friend, said with poetry you can make your own rules as long as you stick to them. It’s a thing I often quote as, as a dyslexic writer, such things are still a challenge for me.
